Early in the new millennium local identities Toppy & John Dickerson, who had been avid collectors for over forty years, left the Chittering Shire bequeathing their collection to the Shire. The Historical Society were asked to be the collections custodians and the items collected by Toppy & John Dickerson now make up a sizable portion of the the Museum’s displays.
Other items in our collection have been donated or loaned to us thanks to the generosity of the public and members of the Historical Society; including a variety of vintage cars and tractors painstakingly restored and on loan to the Museum thanks to Dave Lucas and Dave Barker.
